Airport to hotel: what a booked transfer actually covers

Four airports, not just DXB

Transfers cover Dubai International (DXB), Al Maktoum (DWC), Sharjah (SHJ) and Abu Dhabi (AUH), from AED 149. A chauffeur meets you at arrivals with a board in your name.

They run in both directions, so landing at Abu Dhabi with a hotel in Dubai is booked the same way as a pickup at DXB, and so is the run back out to the airport at the end of the trip.

What happens when the flight is late

The flight is tracked. If you land three hours behind schedule the car is still there, because the booking follows the aircraft rather than the clock.

That is the part a pre-booked transfer is really buying you. Everything else is comfort.

What it costs, and what moves the number

Transfers start at AED 149. What sets the exact figure is where you are going and how many of you there are with how much luggage. The common routes are published with their prices on the airport transfers page, and the booker there prices any other address.

The part worth insisting on is that it is agreed in writing before you travel. There is no meter running, and nothing is added at the far end for a delayed landing or an extra case.

If the hotel is booked through us as well, the van from the airport to the hotel is included one way, and only the return leg is charged.

Changing your mind

Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the pickup. Inside 24 hours, message anyway: if the car has not been dispatched we can usually still sort it.

Which car you get

A sedan, an SUV, or one of the chauffeur vans, meaning the Mercedes-Benz V250, the Toyota Granvia or the Hyundai Staria. It depends on your group size and how much luggage is coming with you.

Tell us how many of you there are and how many cases when you enquire, and the car is matched to that rather than to a guess. The return to the airport is booked the same way.
